Job Title: CMBS Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A leading law firm located in Denver, CO, is seeking a skilled and motivated CMBS Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. The candidate will join the firm's dynamic CMBS Lending and Servicing Practice Group. This role requires a deep understanding of CMBS and balance sheet financing, along with experience in asset management/servicing of loans. The position offers the opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

  • Handle commercial real estate finance matters with a focus on CMBS and balance sheet financing.
  • Oversee asset management and servicing of CMBS/balance sheet loans.
  • Conduct legal research and provide expert advice on matters related to commercial real estate finance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients, lending institutions, and other legal professionals to close complex transactions.
  • Assist with managing legal risks and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and firm policies.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, specifically CMBS and balance sheet financing.
  • Proven experience in asset management/servicing of CMBS and balance sheet loans.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar membership in good standing (Colorado bar preferred).

Skills:

  • Expertise in commercial real estate finance, with a deep understanding of CMBS lending.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
