A law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Immigration Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in business immigration. The candidate should hold a J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of any State Bar in the United States.

 

Job Overview:

The Immigration Associate Attorney will represent clients with employment-based, family-based, and humanitarian-based immigration matters. They will be responsible for preparing petitions and applications for various immigration cases, responding to requests for evidence (RFE), notices of intent to deny (NOID), notices of intent to revoke (NOIR), audits, motions, and appeals, as well as reviewing and ensuring quality control on non-attorney staff's work. The candidate will work closely with the team, attending meetings and trainings, and delivering high-quality legal services to clients.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients with employment-based, family-based, and humanitarian-based immigration matters.
  • Prepare petitions and applications for various immigration cases.
  • Respond to requests for evidence (RFE), notices of intent to deny (NOID), notices of intent to revoke (NOIR), audits, motions, and appeals.
  • Review and ensure quality control on non-attorney staff's work.
  • Work closely with the team, attending meetings and trainings, and delivering high-quality legal services to clients.

 

Requirements:

  • J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member in good standing of any State Bar in the United States.
  • 3+ years of experience in business immigration.
  • Ability to manage 100+ case files.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with immigration case management systems.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong communication skills - on the phone, via email, and in person.
  • Proficiency in using case management software, such as INSZOOM, Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Confluence, Slack, highly desired.
