Job Overview

A reputable law firm based in Denver, CO, is seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team. The role offers a dynamic environment where attorneys are given hands-on opportunities to work with clients, engage in legal proceedings, and contribute to business development efforts. This position may offer a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility between remote and in-office work, following successful training.

Duties:

• Handle civil litigation cases with minimal supervision.
• Conduct depositions, appear in court, and manage client interactions.
• Engage in the preparation and filing of legal motions and other pre-trial activities.
• Conduct discovery, and expert engagement, and prepare expert disclosures.
• Manage all aspects of document production and litigation strategy.
• Delegate tasks effectively to paralegals and other team members.
• Participate in mediations, with first-chair experience preferred.
• Contribute to business development and marketing efforts within the firm.
• Maintain communication and reporting with insurance claim representatives.
• Represent clients in arbitration or trial, with first-chair experience preferred.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in Colorado.
• At least 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong case management, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience with legal software such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Ability to manage all aspects of litigation files independently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and good-standing member of the Colorado Bar.

Certifications:

• Colorado State Bar admission.

Skills:

• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Competence in managing large-scale document production and databases.
• Experience with scheduling, claims, and marketing efforts, is preferred.
