Job Overview:
An established multi-state real estate and creditors' rights law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to support its Arkansas practice. This position offers the opportunity to work within a growing firm that serves major financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in mortgage foreclosure, collections, and creditors' rights, and possess strong litigation and communication skills. The role may include court appearances, with some travel required. A hybrid work schedule may be available.

Location:

  • Little Rock, AR

Duties:

  • Handle a significant volume of mortgage foreclosure and collections cases
  • Represent clients in court, including during hearings, trials, and depositions
  • Manage discovery processes, including gathering evidence and deposing witnesses
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents
  • Assist with resolving legal issues, including conflict resolution
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to the firm’s growth
  • Stay current on legal developments in mortgage foreclosure, collections, and creditor’s rights
  • Potential travel to attend court appearances
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Active member of the Arkansas State Bar, with the ability to obtain licensure in the federal district and bankruptcy courts
  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections
  • Strong understanding of creditors’ rights law
  • Experience with discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution
  • Appellate experience and knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to handle high caseload volume and work under pressure
  • Willingness to travel for court appearances as required
  • Strong client management skills and a commitment to reputation building
  • Familiarity with the Arkansas state legal system is required

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Arkansas State Bar required
  • Additional bar licenses are a plus
