This role will support patent prosecution and litigation matters, assisting attorneys with technical analysis, research, and strategy. Duties:

  • Provide technical support for patent prosecution and litigation cases, including drafting and reviewing patent applications, office action responses, and related documents.
  • Conduct in-depth research on complex technical issues related to electrical engineering, software, and wireless communications technologies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop legal strategies and draft technical analyses for patent disputes and applications.
  • Assist in the preparation of claim charts and other documents for use in patent litigation matters.
  • Review and analyze scientific literature, patents, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in client meetings, providing technical expertise and contributing to case strategy discussions.
  • Stay current with developments in relevant technologies, particularly in the fields of electrical engineering and software.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
  • Prior experience in intellectual property law is not necessary, but a strong interest in patent law is essential.
  • Familiarity with wireless communication technologies, including 5G, 6G, and 3GPP standards, is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and interact professionally with clients.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.

Skills:

  • Strong technical background in electrical engineering, software development, or a related field.
  • Proficient in conducting technical research and analyzing complex scientific data.
  • Effective communicator, capable of translating technical jargon into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
