Duties

  • Advise clients on international estate planning, tax-efficient wealth management, and multi-jurisdictional legal considerations.
  • Counsel on cross-border tax planning for U.S. and non-U.S. taxpayers.
  • Provide guidance on foreign trusts, pre-immigration and expatriation planning, and tax compliance for overseas accounts and foreign assets.
  • Assist clients in the purchase of U.S. property by non-U.S. persons and manage related tax obligations.
  • Draft estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, and tax filings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of legal professionals to address complex client needs.
  • Manage and cultivate client relationships, providing tailored legal strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in international estate planning, including cross-border tax matters.
  • Solid knowledge of estate planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Strong communication, written and verbal, along with drafting expertise.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues independently and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Member in good standing of the bar in the jurisdiction of practice (required).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the bar of the jurisdiction where the position is located (required).
