This position is ideal for attorneys with 2 to 8 years of experience in bankruptcy law who are eager to represent clients such as creditors' committees, indenture trustees, landlords, and trade creditors in various bankruptcy matters. The firm emphasizes collaboration across multiple offices and seeks candidates with strong analytical skills and excellent client relations.

Duties

  • Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including substantive court appearances.
  • Assist in restructuring negotiations and strategies for clients in financial distress.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions, relevant to bankruptcy cases.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage complex cases and deliver effective legal solutions.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients to ensure they are informed about case developments.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client representation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in bankruptcy law within a law firm setting.
  • Admission to the bar in the attorney’s resident and/or affiliated office.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster client relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the state bar where the attorney practices.
