Job Overview

Duties

  • Represent clients in bench trials and manage case activities, including filing motions and related court documents.
  • Prepare and present legal motions, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation in line with court standards.
  • Participate in court appearances and maintain a professional presence in legal proceedings.
  • Travel to court as required, primarily within the region.
  • Collaborate with legal colleagues on case strategy and client representation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate law, civil litigation, and/or creditors' rights.
  • Proven experience in motion practice and bench trials, with a thorough understanding of civil procedure and loss mitigation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active North Carolina Bar License (Required).
  • Additional state Bar licenses are advantageous.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
