Job Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Assist senior attorneys in preparing for and representing clients in probate litigation cases.
  • Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to advise clients.
  • Manage case files from inception to resolution, ensuring timely completion of all required legal documents and court filings.
  • Attend court hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and draft settlement agreements.
  • Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations affecting probate litigation.
  • Conducted client intake interviews and developed case theories.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Dakota State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
  • Experience in probate litigation or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of probate law and court procedures.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
