Job Title: Land Use Partner

Job Location: Miami, FL

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Miami is seeking an experienced and dynamic Land Use Partner to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in land use, zoning, and development permitting with a focus on Broward and/or Palm Beach Counties. Duties:

  • Provide legal guidance on land use, zoning, and permitting matters, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, zoning board meetings, and related forums.
  • Develop strategies for land development and redevelopment projects.
  • Advise clients on land use planning, permitting, and development approvals.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate development agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and departments within the firm.
  • Maintain and foster client relationships to support long-term business growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in land use, zoning, and development permitting.
  • Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and cases within land use law.
  • Strong understanding of local and regional land use laws, zoning codes, and development regulations in Florida.
  • Ability to represent clients before municipal and governmental bodies effectively.
  • Fluent in Spanish (preferred, but not required).
  • Must be a member of The Florida Bar or willing to obtain Florida Bar admission.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar admission preferred; candidates must be willing to apply for admission if not already a member.

Skills:

  • Expertise in land use, zoning, and development permitting.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex legal issues.
  • Leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Job Location: Miami, FL
