Job Overview

A reputable law firm is looking for an experienced Mid-Level Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its Naples, Florida office. This role is ideal for a candidate with 6 to 10 years of experience in commercial litigation, including strong research, writing abilities, and trial experience. Experience with construction defect cases is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate business development skills, including a portable book of business (preferred), and will have the ability to manage cases, supervise client contact, and lead commercial litigation efforts.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.

  • Handle motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.

  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and trials.

  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing high-quality legal services.

  • Supervise and manage legal teams, including junior associates and support staff.

  • Lead business development efforts, including maintaining and growing a book of business.

  • Ensure all litigation activities meet deadlines and are conducted in compliance with firm policies.

Requirements

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in commercial litigation.

  • Proven experience with motion practice, trials, and discovery processes.

  • A portable book of business is preferred, with demonstrated business development experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to client service.

  • Experience with construction defect litigation is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
