Pre-Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its team in West Palm Beach, FL. This full-time position is ideal for a professional with experience in personal injury law, responsible for managing cases up to the filing of a complaint. The attorney will provide guidance to clients, supervise staff, evaluate the merits of personal injury claims, and negotiate settlements during the pre-litigation phase. Location:

• West Palm Beach, FL

Duties:

• Supervise and provide direction to a team of staff members
• Evaluate the merits of personal injury cases, determining the potential for litigation
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the pre-litigation phase
• Conduct medical case reviews to assess the strength of cases
• Perform legal research and analysis to support case evaluation
• Negotiate settlements in the pre-litigation stage and authorize agreements
• Handle a large and active caseload while ensuring timely progress and client satisfaction
• Prioritize client representation and excellent customer service
• Investigate cases, gather evidence, and develop strategies for settlement

Requirements:

• Active and good standing license to practice law in Florida
• At least 2 years of experience, including client contact and/or negotiation experience
• Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
• Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills
• Experience in providing direction and guidance to staff
• Strong negotiation abilities, especially in pre-litigation settlements
• Ability to prioritize client needs while maintaining a high level of professionalism

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Florida (in good standing)
