Attorney needed for Houston office

A law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Attorney to join its team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of litigation experience and a strong background in evaluating claims, negotiation, and communication. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a proactive approach to problem-solving. The firm values expertise in trial experience and membership in the Texas Bar in good standing.

Duties:

• Evaluate legal claims and provide expert advice to clients
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Represent clients in court, including first chair trial experience if applicable
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
• Attend depositions, hearings, and trials
• Collaborate with legal team members and support staff
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry practices
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to client needs
• Manage case files from inception to completion

Requirements:

• Member of the Texas Bar and in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
• Proven ability to evaluate claims and develop legal strategies
• Superb negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive approach to problem-solving
• Team-oriented mindset

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be a licensed Attorney in the state of Texas
