Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation to clients by evaluating the facts and offering appropriate legal counsel.
  • Advise clients on employment-related matters such as federal and state laws, wage and hour disputes, harassment, disability, discrimination, wrongful termination, and workplace restraining orders.
  • Research and draft various legal documents, including motions, employment agreements, employee handbooks, termination agreements, and workplace policies.
  • Engage in civil litigation, defending or prosecuting claims as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Participate in industry organizations and committees to enhance the firm’s community presence.
  • Represent the firm at internal and external events.
  • Perform other tasks as needed to support legal and managerial goals.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and an active California Bar license.
  • 3-6 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on Employment Law or Employment Litigation.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in client communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Real Estate Litigation.
  • Familiarity with ProLaw or similar legal billing and document management software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California State Bar membership.

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing.

  • Civil litigation experience, including employment-related cases.
