A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-to-Senior-Level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in employment litigation, including single plaintiff cases and wage and hour class actions. This role requires familiarity with Federal Court Rules and E-Discovery, excellent writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases while serving as a point person on litigation matters.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead attorney on various employment litigation cases, managing all aspects of the case from initiation to resolution.
  • Supervise junior associates and staff, ensuring efficient case management and support.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, providing updates, legal advice, and case strategy.
  • Handle depositions and participate in courtroom proceedings, representing clients effectively and professionally.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy and provide accurate legal advice.
  • Analyze case law, legal precedents, and relevant statutes to inform case strategy.
  • Provide employment advice and counseling to clients, addressing a range of employment law issues.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each client's needs and case specifics.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills, taking cases from start to finish independently.

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in employment litigation, including single plaintiff cases and wage and hour class actions.
  • Familiarity with Federal Court Rules and E-Discovery.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Experience handling multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to serve as the point person on litigation matters.
  • Deposition and/or courtroom experience required.
  • Employment advice and counseling experience desired.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in California.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school.

 

Certifications:

Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
