General Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Framingham, MA, seeks a skilled General Liability Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle various general liability matters, including file review, legal analysis, and courtroom representation.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions
• Draft and respond to discovery requests
• Coordinate with expert witnesses and collaborate on case strategy
• Prepare thoroughly for trials and attend as necessary
• May require occasional travel

Requirements:

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in General Liability practice
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school
• Admission to practice law in the state of Massachusetts; admission in other states is a plus
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong research abilities with proficient written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and collaborate in a team environment
• Prompt responsiveness to client inquiries via email and phone
• Excellent client management skills and professional telephone etiquette
