Private Credit Associate

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking a highly qualified Associate to join its premier Private Credit Department. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex private credit and finance matters, providing legal support on a wide range of lending transactions.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Advise clients on private credit and finance transactions.

• Structure, negotiate, and draft documentation for lending transactions.

• Handle cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.

• Provide counsel on asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts.

• Collaborate with clients and internal legal teams to develop strategic financing solutions.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in private credit and finance matters.

• Experience at a nationally recognized law firm or other relevant legal experience.

• Demonstrated lending experience, with borrower-side exposure considered a plus.

• Strong background in a variety of financing structures.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction or ability to obtain admission.

Skills:

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication and client management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.

• High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
