Employment Law Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO, specializing in employment law, is seeking an experienced Employment Law Litigation Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation to clients on wage and hour issues.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on various wage and hour issues, including minimum wage, overtime pay, meal and rest breaks, and employee classification.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws and regulations.
• Assist clients in developing and implementing policies and procedures to mitigate wage and hour compliance risks.
• Represent clients in wage and hour disputes, including government agency investigations, administrative proceedings, and litigation.
• Advise clients on employee classification issues and assist in drafting employment agreements and contracts.
• Stay updated on developments in wage and hour laws and regulations and provide training and updates to clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Admission to the State Bar in Colorado.
• 3-7 years of experience practicing law, focusing on employment law and wage and hour matters.
• Expertise in federal and state wage and hour laws and related regulations.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to apply legal principles to complex issues.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience in representing clients in wage and hour disputes and litigation preferred.
• Plaintiff's defense experience is beneficial.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
