Associate Attorney with 2 years of experience

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its Santa Ana, California office. This position is ideal for a 2nd-year associate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. The firm focuses on representing underserved populations in three key practice areas: Tenant Law (Eviction Defense), Residential Real Estate Litigation, and Plaintiff's Personal Injury.

Duties:

• Manage cases from inception to the brink of trial, with a focus on eviction trials.
• Conduct regular court appearances and represent clients in legal proceedings.
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
• Perform client consultations and maintain effective communication throughout the case lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the legal team to develop winning case strategies.
• Engage in legal research to support case development and litigation efforts.

Requirements:

• Must be a 2nd-year law student or recent graduate with a passion for social justice and advocacy for underserved populations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a case load effectively and work collaboratively within a small team.
• A commitment to ethical legal practice and client-centered service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
