This full-time position is ideal for a driven professional with a strong background in various litigation areas, including family law and criminal law. Duties:

  • Represent clients in various litigation matters, including criminal, family, civil, and landlord-tenant cases.
  • Independently manage a caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality legal work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, paralegals, and office staff to successfully resolve client matters.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Meet with clients to discuss case details, advise on legal matters, and provide strategic guidance.
  • Participate in marketing and networking efforts to attract new clients to the firm.
  • Stay current with developments in legal techniques and regulations relevant to the practice.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey (New Jersey Bar admission required).
  • 0-10 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for candidates familiar with family and criminal law.
  • Experience with general liability matters including, criminal, civil, special civil, family, landlord-tenant, and out-of-court negotiations.
  • Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with court officials, colleagues, and clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also managing individual responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to legal practice and client development.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Bar License.

Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.

  • Familiarity with legal software and document management systems.
