Job Title: Labor Law Attorney

Job Overview:

A distinguished law firm in Washington, DC seeks a dedicated attorney with expertise in traditional labor law to join its team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional passionate about representing clients in matters involving labor relations, union management, and compliance with labor regulations.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in NLRB proceedings and union elections.
  • Conduct representation hearings, arbitrations, and grievance proceedings.
  • Provide counsel on positive employee relations strategies.
  • Lead collective bargaining efforts and contract negotiations.
  • Deliver legal support on labor-related disputes and compliance matters.
  • Draft and review legal documentation and position statements.
  • Maintain effective client communication and provide strategic legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of traditional labor law experience.
  • Experience in management-side representation or prior work at the NLRB.
  • Demonstrated skills in handling labor-related cases, including NLRB processes.
  • Active DC Bar membership or eligibility for admission.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active law license in Washington, DC, or ability to obtain one promptly.

Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
