Associate Attorney needed for St. Louis office

A law firm in St. Louis is seeking an Associate Attorney with a strong commitment to client service and a keen interest in personal injury law. The ideal candidate will be eager to grow within a dynamic and energetic firm, managing a diverse caseload of personal injury cases primarily in the pre-litigation phase. The role involves conducting thorough investigations, negotiating settlements, and preparing cases for litigation if necessary.

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury cases, focusing on the pre-litigation phase.
• Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to assess the value of cases.
• Draft demand letters and negotiate settlements with insurance companies.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on case status and progress.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to provide comprehensive legal support.
• Prepare cases for litigation by drafting pleadings and motions if a settlement is not achieved.
• Review and analyze case files, medical records, and other relevant documentation.
• Ensure all legal documents are prepared accurately and filed in a timely manner.
• Represent clients’ interests and advocate effectively in negotiations and potential litigation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
• 1-3 years of experience in personal injury law preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
