Job Overview:

A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Corporate Associate Attorney with 6-8 years of mergers and acquisitions experience. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, extensive experience in drafting and negotiating definitive and ancillary documents, managing deal processes, supervising junior associates, and handling various mergers and acquisitions matters.

Duties:

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents for mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Manage the deal process and maintain client relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Handle day-to-day demands on a variety of mergers and acquisitions related matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions and compliance with legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of mergers and acquisitions experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High degree of maturity and business sense.
  • Ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.
  • Experience in large regional, national, or international law firms preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the DC Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Sound understanding of corporate law and mergers and acquisitions principles.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
