Trial Attorney Corporate and Insurance Defense

Job Overview:

A law firm seeks an experienced and dynamic Trial Attorney to join its team in St. Petersburg, FL. This full-time, on-site position involves handling various litigation matters, including motions, court hearings, depositions, and trials. The successful candidate will work primarily in corporate and insurance defense, covering areas such as premises liability, construction defects, automobile and trucking negligence, and commercial litigation.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee a high caseload of trials, ensuring timely and effective handling of each case.
• Prepare, file, and present legal motions in court.
• Represent clients in trials, depositions, and other court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents as needed.
• Communicate and negotiate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop case strategies and ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of law, court procedures, trials, and depositions.
• Proven experience handling trials, including preparation, presentation, and post-trial work.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client interaction skills.
• Ability to handle a large caseload effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficient in trial preparation and presentation, including motions and depositions.
