Job Overview

A well-established law firm in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its dynamic Insurance Coverage Practice Group. This role involves providing legal analysis, drafting coverage opinions, and handling litigation in a variety of insurance-related matters, including commercial general liability, advertising injury, directors and officers liability, professional liability, workers’ compensation, and first-party property cases.

Duties

• Analyze insurance policies and provide legal opinions on coverage issues.

• Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive arguments for court proceedings.

• Attend and advocate at depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.

• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients regarding complex coverage matters.

• Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage law.

• Active California Bar license.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities.

• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
