Job Title: Defense Litigation Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on various legal matters.
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, aiming for favorable outcomes.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and depositions as required.
• Provide expert legal counsel on a broad spectrum of legal issues.
• Stay informed on changes in laws, regulations, and case precedents.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal professionals in the firm.
• Efficiently manage case files, documentation, and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 3-5 years of experience in Civil Defense Litigation.
• Active admission to the Florida Bar and licensed to practice law in Florida.
• In-depth knowledge of Personal Injury Law, Premises Liability, and Insurance Defense.
• Proven ability to conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong negotiation abilities with a focus on achieving favorable settlements.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Florida Bar.
