Duties

• Handle a range of oil and gas transactional matters, including acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers (A&D/M&A).
• Provide expert legal advice and draft contracts related to the exploration, production, and sale of oil and gas resources.
• Collaborate with a team to structure, negotiate, and execute complex energy transactions.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and manage due diligence processes.
• Partner with clients in the commercial, financial, and industrial sectors to develop innovative legal solutions.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience practicing transactional oil and gas law, preferably within a major law firm.
• Proven expertise in A&D/M&A transactions within the energy sector.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
