Job Overview: A law firm specializing in Family, Trusts & Estates, and Business Law is seeking a Senior Family Law Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience. This position is ideal for a candidate with strong advocacy skills, a deep understanding of family law, and a passion for mentoring junior attorneys. The role offers the opportunity to manage complex cases, provide high-quality legal services, and work toward a Junior Partner track. This position also includes a hybrid work schedule, offering flexibility.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice to clients.
  • Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to ensure timely and efficient case management.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Associate Attorneys, offering constructive feedback and sharing legal expertise.
  • Encourage professional growth in junior attorneys through training and setting performance goals.
  • Attend continuing legal education programs to stay current with family law changes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience practicing family law, including divorce, custody, and property division.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Bar.
  • Superior attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and trial experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, working effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using technology and legal software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar (required).
