The role involves managing cases in Cook, Lake, and DuPage counties, appearing in court for pretrial conferences, hearings, trials, and prove ups. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, Marital Settlement Agreements, Final Allocation Judgments, Parenting Plans, pretrial memoranda, and correspondence, as well as attending depositions, client meetings, and settlement conferences. Duties:

  • Manage cases in Cook, Lake, and DuPage counties.
  • Maintain client relationships and confidentiality.
  • Appear in court for pretrial conferences, hearings, trials, and prove ups.
  • Draft pleadings, Marital Settlement Agreements, Final Allocation Judgments, Parenting Plans, pretrial memoranda, and correspondence.
  • Attend and participate in depositions, client meetings, and settlement conferences.
  • Review and analyze documents related to assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.
  • Perform legal research and writing.
  • Advise clients and negotiate with opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys regarding settlement and trial strategies.

 

Requirements:

  • Illinois Bar License.
  • 3-6 years of experience in civil litigation, particularly in domestic relations.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills.
  • Experience interacting with clients directly.
  • Ability to assess, prioritize, problem-solve, and execute multiple assignments in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working in a team environment.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Illinois Bar License.
