Job Overview

A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Estates Attorney with 6-10 years of experience to join its Trust and Estates Practice Group. This position offers the opportunity to supplement and enhance the firm’s current offerings in areas such as elder law, tax law, Medicare and Medicaid, and other complementary practices. The ideal candidate will bring a client base that aligns with the firm's goals and will contribute to the growth and success of the practice group.

Duties

  • Advise clients on a wide range of estate planning and administration matters.
  • Handle cases involving elder law, tax law, and Medicare/Medicaid planning.
  • Manage complex estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate matters.
  • Provide counsel on tax implications, asset protection, and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Support the development of client relationships and enhance the firm’s existing client base.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure comprehensive and efficient legal services.

Requirements

  • Experience: 6-10 years of experience in estates, trusts, and elder law.
  • Proven track record of managing a client base in relevant practice areas.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, elder law, and related tax laws.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the relevant state bar.
  • Additional certifications in tax law, elder law, or related areas are a plus.
