A law firm seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Immigration Attorney to join its team in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated associate with 1-4 years of immigration law experience to contribute to an established practice while growing professionally in a dynamic legal environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about protecting clients' rights and contributing to the firm's continued success.

Duties:

  • Provide clear legal counsel and develop strategic approaches to immigration cases
  • Represent both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
  • Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring cases progress efficiently and meet all necessary deadlines
  • Conduct client intake sessions for detained individuals at local detention centers
  • Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense documentation
  • Review and revise immigration petitions and other filings to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, government agencies, and community groups regarding changes in immigration law
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients, providing legal advice and determining the best course of action
  • Develop legal strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS testimony
  • Provide legal analysis to identify potential benefits for clients' cases
  • Draft and submit legal briefs and other essential documents for various immigration matters

Requirements:

  • 1 to 4 years of immigration law experience
  • Strong ability to manage a caseload and move cases forward efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to explain complex immigration issues clearly
  • Experience with family-based immigration petitions, humanitarian relief applications, EOIR proceedings, detained cases, citizenship processes, and other USCIS applications
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Familiarity with case management software is preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar (California preferred)

Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of immigration law and legal procedures
  • Excellent writing, research, and legal drafting abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on providing high-quality legal service
