A law firm seeks a motivated and organized Litigation Attorney to join its team remotely, supporting its Texas-based corporate office. The firm specializes in debt recovery litigation, providing comprehensive solutions to major financial institutions. This position offers flexibility with a work-from-home arrangement, travel opportunities, and compensation based on salary and commission, with no billable hour requirement.

Duties:

  • Negotiate resolutions for pending litigation cases, ensuring favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Handle motion practice, including drafting and reviewing pleadings, discovery, and other documents.
  • Manage a high caseload, maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  • Attend hearings and trials in the assigned regional area; travel expenses are reimbursed.
  • Engage in document execution, calendar management, and other administrative tasks related to litigation.
  • Professionally interact with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Provide high-quality legal representation in a fast-paced, high-volume practice.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience (debt recovery experience preferred but not required).
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases independently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology tools.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel for court appearances and occasional training sessions (travel expenses reimbursed).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Texas State Bar License (Required).

Skills:

  • Knowledge of civil litigation procedures, including motion practice and discovery.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and legal research skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to professionally interact with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
