A law firm in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Senior Discovery Attorney to lead eDiscovery initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and clients to develop effective workflows and ensure compliance with legal standards. The role focuses on optimizing processes for risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility while supporting successful case outcomes.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with eMerge attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to develop and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of work and deliverables produced by eMerge Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Advise and support case teams and clients on all phases of discovery, including preservation, collection, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Provide guidance on pre-litigation information governance and post-production activities such as deposition and trial preparation.
  • Stay updated on eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and incorporate best practices into workflows.
  • Utilize expertise in tools like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Relativity to manage data preservation, filtering, and export capabilities effectively.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, in good standing.
  • 5-7 years of experience in eDiscovery, preferably within a law firm environment.
  • Deep understanding of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex legal and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace for managing corporate messaging, collaboration, and productivity solutions.
  • Preferred expertise with Relativity or similar eDiscovery platforms.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
