Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Finance Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in commercial finance. The ideal candidate should have outstanding academic credentials, strong team skills, excellent analytical and drafting abilities, effective communication skills, and a strong work ethic.

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to commercial finance transactions.
• Draft and negotiate financing agreements, including loan agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements.
• Advise clients on regulatory compliance and risk management issues in commercial finance transactions.
• Assist in due diligence reviews and prepare related reports for clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop and implement legal strategies.
• Review and interpret financial documents and disclosures.
• Handle closings and other transactional matters related to commercial finance.
• Maintain client relationships and provide responsive client service.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting commercial finance.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Ohio or eligibility for admission.
• 2-5 years of experience in commercial finance at a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong understanding of commercial lending practices and financing structures.
• Excellent academic credentials and a demonstrated record of success.
• Solid team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Superior analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
