Litigation Attorney (Hybrid)

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate favorable settlements on behalf of clients, ensuring their best interests are prioritized.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as needed.
• Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of matters.
• Keep abreast of relevant legal developments, case law, and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other legal professionals to develop case strategies.
• Effectively manage caseloads and case documentation, maintaining organized records.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
• Proven experience in Insurance Defense, Personal Injury, Premises Liability, or related legal fields.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
• Strong negotiation abilities to reach favorable settlements.
• Experience attending trials, depositions, and handling pre-trial proceedings.
• Ability to handle a heavy caseload and work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with superb organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Skills:

• Legal research (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
• Legal drafting (motions, pleadings, briefs).
• Strong negotiation and client communication.
• Trial preparation and courtroom experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
