Associate needed for Wilmington office

Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a skilled associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate litigation and/or Court of Chancery litigation. The ideal candidate should have superior academic credentials and excellent writing and oral communication skills. The position offers an opportunity to work on high-profile corporate disputes, including fiduciary duty claims, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and statutory appraisals. Candidates who are not admitted to the Delaware bar will be required to take the Delaware bar exam at the first opportunity.

Location:

• Wilmington, Delaware

Duties:

• Handle corporate litigation and Court of Chancery matters.
• Manage cases related to fiduciary duty claims, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, control disputes, and statutory appraisals.
• Draft legal documents, motions, and other court filings.
• Participate in legal research, case preparation, and client meetings.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and other legal settings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop legal strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate litigation or Court of Chancery litigation.
• Strong academic background with a proven record of excellence.
• Excellent writing, research, and oral communication skills.
• Delaware Bar admission is not required, but the successful candidate must be willing to take the Delaware bar exam.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be legally entitled to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Delaware Bar admission is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must be willing to take the Delaware bar exam at the first available opportunity.
