Mid-level or Senior Commercial Litigation Associate

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including trials and appeals.
• Conduct legal research and write memoranda.
• Draft complex case analyses, briefs, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery, including document production, written discovery, and depositions.
• Collaborate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Participate in strategy meetings with senior associates and partners.
• Engage in client service and foster relationships with clients and other professionals.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of experience in complex litigation, with a focus on sophisticated legal matters.
• Exposure to insurance litigation is preferred.
• Strong writing and analytical skills with a proven ability to communicate research and case strategy.
• Experience with deposition and court proceedings is preferred.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
• Goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic and dedication to client service.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Strong business development, networking, and client relationship-building skills.
• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California.
