The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a strong background in managed care or health care. The role demands exceptional academic credentials, as well as strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will manage multiple cases, handle regulatory and compliance matters, and serve as the primary point of contact for litigation and counseling.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and litigate cases involving managed care and health care issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert legal advice and coordination.
  • Handle regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee case management and provide significant client counseling.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft detailed legal documents and pleadings.
  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration proceedings, and settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting managed care and health care.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • 2-3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Experience with managed care or health care issues is required.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple cases and manage regulatory or compliance matters.
  • Strong skills in serving as a point person for litigation and client counseling.
