Junior Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Junior Associate Attorney to join its growing team, focusing on both family and criminal law. This position is ideal for a passionate attorney with an interest in handling domestic matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, adoptions, domestic violence, and protective orders. Duties

• Represent clients in family law and criminal law cases, including divorce, child custody/support, adoptions, and protective orders.
• Conduct legal research and draft relevant documents for ongoing cases.
• Attend court hearings, pretrial conferences, and other legal proceedings.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and client communication effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality legal services.
• Ensure all legal documents are prepared and filed on time.

Requirements

• Active Virginia State Bar membership in good standing, or eligibility to sit for the Virginia Bar Exam.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Must own reliable transportation.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Virginia State Bar membership or eligibility for the Virginia Bar Exam.
