Defense Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Location:

Duties:

• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, and motion hearings.
• Draft and oppose legal motions.
• Manage a caseload of defense litigation matters, including general liability, construction defect defense, and employment defense.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to strategize case approaches.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.

Requirements:

• Active member of the California State Bar.
• Experience in civil litigation with a focus on defense work.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions, as well as attending court appearances and mediations.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.
• Experience with drafting and opposing motions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active member of the California State Bar.
