Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents, including credit agreements and tax equity documents
  • Review renewable energy project documents and coordinate with subject-matter experts
  • Lead and manage due diligence reviews for renewable energy projects
  • Oversee the closing of transactions, ensuring all legal and procedural matters are addressed
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals and provide insight into renewable energy finance matters
  • Support the energy sector's strategic growth objectives by advising clients on legal issues
  • Contribute to the advancement of firm-wide energy-related projects and initiatives

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy transactional matters
  • Strong expertise in renewable energy project finance and/or tax credit transactions
  • Proven ability to manage and execute complex legal transactions
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Experience with large law firms preferred
  • An active member in good standing of the Wisconsin Bar

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in Wisconsin or eligible to practice law in the state

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating detailed legal agreements
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
