Job Title: Pre-Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A well-established law firm located in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their legal team. This position involves working with clients, negotiating insurance claims, and preparing cases for potential litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a deep understanding of Arizona state law.

Duties:

  • Review and organize new client files, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
  • Communicate with clients via phone and email, addressing concerns and providing updates during the pre-suit process
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters and healthcare providers to exchange status reports
  • Gather, review, and analyze medical and billing records
  • Draft and send settlement demands to resolve claims before litigation when appropriate
  • Follow up on outstanding documents and escalate issues as necessary
  • Mentor and guide junior department members, offering training and support
  • Negotiate settlements and prepare cases for litigation if a resolution cannot be reached

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate
  • Active admission to the State Bar of Arizona
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction
  • Proven ability in oral advocacy and persuasive argumentation
  • Familiarity with Arizona state law
  • Litigation experience with a track record of achieving successful outcomes
  • Strong ethical values and professionalism

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Arizona State Bar
