Job Overview

Duties

• Handle a caseload with a focus on litigation matters, representing clients in various industries including transportation, gaming, and insurance.
• Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and strategize case management.
• Maintain effective client communication and provide regular case updates.
• Work independently as well as collaborate with senior attorneys for case strategies.

Requirements

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
• At least 1 year of litigation experience.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases from inception through all phases of litigation.
• Excellent work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and grow professionally.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Valid New York State Bar license.
