Job Overview
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a talented Construction Associate Attorney to join its Atlanta office. This position is ideal for attorneys with 3 to 4 years of experience in construction, infrastructure, or real estate law. The practice advises major real estate developers on contract negotiations and dispute resolution related to large-scale construction projects including airports, stadiums, hospitals, energy infrastructure, and other landmark developments. This role offers high-level client exposure, sophisticated legal work, and the opportunity to join a top-ranked construction group.

Duties

  • Advise developers and stakeholders on legal aspects of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects

  • Assist in negotiating and drafting complex construction and development agreements

  • Support project teams in navigating legal issues related to procurement, risk allocation, and project delivery

  • Collaborate with litigators on construction-related disputes and claims when needed

  • Conduct due diligence, contract review, and risk analysis for real estate development projects

  • Stay current with construction law developments and contribute to legal strategy on evolving issues

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of relevant legal experience in construction law, infrastructure, real estate development, or project finance

  • Prior experience with construction contracts and transactional work (preferred)

  • Familiarity with design-build, EPC, and public-private partnership agreements (a plus)

  • Excellent legal judgment and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work on high-profile and complex projects under deadline-driven conditions

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar and in good standing (required)

Skills

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

  • High attention to detail with a practical business mindset

  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and project teams
