A law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking a Property and Casualty Insurance Associate Attorney with a strong background in insurance coverage issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance litigation, exceptional academic credentials, and demonstrated writing skills.

 

Job Details:

  • Analyze insurance coverage issues and provide legal advice to clients on property and casualty insurance matters.
  • Handle insurance litigation cases involving property damage, personal injury, and other casualty claims.
  • Research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs related to insurance coverage disputes.
  • Assist in the investigation and evaluation of insurance claims and coverage issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys, clients, and insurance carriers to develop litigation strategy and achieve client objectives.
  • Conduct legal research on complex insurance issues and stay updated on relevant case law and statutes.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and mediations.
  • Manage a caseload independently while working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in Florida or eligibility for admission.
  • 2-6 years of experience in insurance litigation, preferably with a focus on property and casualty insurance.
  • Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, with knowledge of bad faith insurance issues preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials with demonstrated writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with federal or state appellate clerkships is a plus.

 

Experience:

2-6 years of insurance litigation experience.
