Immigration Attorney

A law firm in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking an Immigration Attorney who will be responsible for managing a caseload involving various immigration matters. The ideal candidate should be proficient in preparing filings, conducting legal research, and communicating effectively with clients and government officials. Fluency in Spanish or another second language is desired to facilitate communication with diverse clientele.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct legal research on immigration laws and regulations.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status.
• Communicate with government agencies and personnel via phone and written correspondence.
• Manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Represent clients in immigration court hearings and proceedings, if necessary.
• Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to clients on immigration matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Minnesota or eligibility for admission.
• Experience in handling immigration cases is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish or proficiency in a second language is desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certifications:
