A law firm seeks an experienced and entrepreneurial Corporate Attorney at the counsel or junior partner level to join its growing team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will work closely with privately held mid-market businesses while being supported by a collaborative and resource-rich environment, designed to help attorneys grow their practice and client base.

Duties:

  • Manage and advise clients on complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, structuring, and compliance matters for privately held mid-market businesses
  • Collaborate with attorneys across various practice areas to provide holistic legal solutions to clients
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, working closely with business owners and executives
  • Develop and grow your client base through participation in the firm's business development program and marketing initiatives

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing corporate law, with a focus on transactions and governance
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with the drive to grow your client base and expand your practice
  • Proven ability to manage sophisticated corporate matters for mid-market businesses
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and legal drafting skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina

Skills:

  • Expertise in corporate transactions, M&A, and corporate governance
  • Strong business acumen with a client-focused approach to legal solutions
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication abilities
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues
