Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in commercial foreclosures, asset recovery and workouts, and mortgage defense litigation, coupled with strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Duties:

• Prepare pleadings and motions
• Ensure discovery compliance
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Make court appearances throughout the litigation lifecycle
• Assist at trials
• Engage in direct client contact and communication
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
• Draft and review legal briefs, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents
• Document case activities in accordance with firm policies and procedures
• Travel to various courts as required for case proceedings
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive legal representation

Requirements:

• Admission to the New York Bar
• Over 5 years of litigation experience
• Extensive experience in commercial foreclosures, asset recovery and workouts, and mortgage defense litigation
• Proficiency in preparing pleadings and motions, and ensuring discovery compliance
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with clients and provide clear, concise legal advice
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Active Bar membership in New York
