Duties:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of litigation matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and participate in case strategy development.
  • Prepare and argue motions, handle depositions, and attend hearings.
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of ongoing litigation matters and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring effective communication and a high level of service.

Requirements:

  • Experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Experience in managing multiple complex cases and clients.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative in managing cases.
  • Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage client expectations and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in a U.S. jurisdiction (preferably in Texas).

Skills:

  • Expertise in litigation processes, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and craft creative solutions.
  • Skilled in client management and building trusted relationships.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
