Job Overview:
A rapidly growing Real Estate Litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join the team in their Oakland office. The firm offers a hybrid schedule, allowing you to work three days a week in the office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of real estate and foreclosure litigation matters, including fighting foreclosure actions, negotiating neighbor disputes, and representing clients in court. The firm is dedicated to helping clients through their most difficult situations with skill, empathy, and determination.

Location:

  • Oakland, California

Duties:

  • Counsel and communicate with clients.
  • Attend remote and in-person court appearances.
  • Conduct mediations, depositions, and arbitrations.
  • Perform legal research and writing.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, judgments, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain billable hours requirements.

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
  • Real estate law experience preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective legal research and analytical skills.
  • Experience in real estate and foreclosure litigation preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
